Nothing’s Helped You to “Move On”

You’ve already done the “right” things to “get over” the trauma.

Talked it through.

Analyzed it.

Understood why it happened and how it shaped you.

But insight alone hasn’t been enough to set you free.

Because the Trauma Is Trapped in Your Body

The anxiety surges without warning.

Your chest tightens.

Your jaw is tense.

Sleep sucks.

Certain sounds, places, or moments pull you straight out of the present and back into what you’ve tried so hard to forget.

It’s time to take a different approach.

3. We’ll talk about how EMDR can put you – not your trauma – in the driver’s seat of your life.

Here’s The Part No One Explained to You

You’re not stuck because you haven’t tried hard enough.

You’re stuck because the trauma is stuck – it’s sitting in your nervous system because your mind and body were too overwhelmed to process it when it happened.

It’s just sitting there, quietly and relentlessly running in the background – quietly and relentlessly running your life.

That’s why you still notice:

  • Your body reacting before your mind can intervene
  • Patterns you recognize but can’t interrupt
  • Emotional shutdown or constant vigilance
  • A persistent sense that something is “wrong” with you

EMDR Completes That Unfinished Neurological Work

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain complete the processing it couldn’t finish when you were in survival mode.

Through bilateral stimulation – guided eye movements, taps, or tones – your brain is able to reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer register as present-day threats.

It doesn’t erase the memory…

It changes how your nervous system responds to it.

I’ve heard EMDR is intense. Will it be too much for me?
One of EMDR’s strengths is that it doesn’t require you to talk in detail about your trauma or stay immersed in painful emotions for long periods. We do significant preparation before any processing, and you’re always in control. Many clients are surprised by how manageable (even relieving) the process feels.
How is EMDR different from the talk therapy I’ve already done?
Talk therapy engages your conscious, thinking mind. EMDR engages your brain’s information processing system at a deeper level. That’s why you can understand your trauma intellectually but still be triggered by it. EMDR helps your brain update its response to the memory itself, which is why the relief tends to be more complete and lasting.
How long does EMDR take to work?
It depends on your history and what we’re working on. Some clients experience significant shifts in just a few sessions. Complex trauma or multiple targets may take longer. During your consultation, we’ll discuss realistic expectations for your specific situation.
Do you offer virtual EMDR sessions?
TYes. EMDR can be done effectively online using specialized software for bilateral stimulation. Many of my Los Angeles clients appreciate the flexibility of virtual sessions, and the results are just as powerful as in-person work.

Integrate and Move Forward

Regain Control of Your Mind, Body, and Life in Three Steps

We identify what’s driving your symptoms and build the internal resources that create safety and control.

Your nervous system learns it doesn’t have to stay on high alert.

Using EMDR, we target the memories and beliefs keeping you stuck.

Emotional intensity drops as your brain updates the experience and releases the stored threat response.

We install new beliefs, strengthen emotional regulation, and help your body respond to life as it is now – not as it once was.

This gives you relief and the confidence to move forward.

What Others Are Saying

“I used to feel like I was living in the shadow of my past. The old fear, the tension in my chest, the flashbacks–they ran the show. Jeff helped me change that.”

–Berto F.

“Before working with Jeff, I was stuck in a loop of self-criticism that I couldn’t escape. With EMDR and Jeff’s compassionate presence, I started feeling something I hadn’t in years: self-respect. Over time, that turned into self-love. That’s something I never thought I’d say out loud.”

–Silvia M.

“I came into therapy feeling blocked – creatively, emotionally, spiritually. There were whole parts of myself I had cut off just to survive. Jeff helped me find them again. Through this work, I’ve reconnected with my creativity, my sense of joy, even my spirituality. I feel like a whole person again.”

Why Trust Me as Your Partner in Healing

Heal at a Manageable Pace

EMDR is powerful, but it shouldn’t feel overwhelming. I work slowly and collaboratively, always respecting your limits. You stay in control the entire time. We don’t push memories or rush insight – we move at a pace your nervous system can actually handle.

You Don’t Have to Relive the Past

This work isn’t about rehashing everything you’ve been through. It’s about helping your body finish what it’s been holding onto. Sessions are grounded, steady, and focused on safety rather than endurance.

Real Change You Feel Over Time

You’ll notice small but meaningful shifts: softer reactions, better sleep, more energy. Not because life suddenly got easier, but because their body isn’t carrying the past alone anymore. Healing comes through completion, not repetition.
